Send copyright notices to Plumfire LLC's agent, registered with the U.S. Copyright Office:

Email is fastest. Please put "Copyright notice" in the subject.

What to include in a notice

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a notice needs:

1. Your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or someone authorized to act for them.
2. The copyrighted work you believe is infringed (or, for several works, a representative list).
3. What you believe infringes it and where it is, specific enough for us to find it: for example, the feed's name as GRID PARTY shows it, or a link.
4. Your name, address, phone number and email.
5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

What we do

When a notice is complete, we remove or disable access to the material promptly. For a puzzle feed, that means withdrawing it from GRID PARTY's list of feeds, so the app stops offering and checking it. We let the person who provided the material know, where we can reach them.

Questions short of a formal notice, such as a maker who would rather be linked differently or credited another way, are welcome at the same email.

Counter-notification

If material you provided was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the agent above, with:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. What was removed and where it appeared before.
3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the United States, any judicial district where Plumfire LLC may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice or their agent.

We forward a valid counter-notification to the person who sent the notice, and may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringement

Where it applies, we disable the accounts or access of people who repeatedly infringe others' copyrights.
